PROJECT TOPIC: PRESENTING INTENTIONS

A few general considerations about the meaning of the project topic must be stated since the beginning, as they are valid for all architectural objectives of the complex. The two objectives that the present state of the project proposes are the following [1]: 

· Center for Medical Research, Recovering and Cure by Complementary Strategies (“SILVANIA”).
· Center for Leisure and Pleasure (“TELURIA”).
In the future, we also mean to establish two more objectives in the site: 
· Center for Education and Spiritual Harmony. 
· Campus for Aged People.
SYNERGY is what makes it more special: capacity of functioning as a whole, where the assembly values more than the sum of the parts involved. This principle is, as we shall see in the following, one of those we call "architecture of light".
The functioning of the architectural objects taken separately and as a whole (in the following, we shall refer to the two objectives that our projects propose to establish) are complementarily subordinated to the one and only goal, which we have already mentioned: HUMAN OPTIMIZATION.

LEISURE AND PLEASURE CENTER: THEMATIC CHARACTERISTICS
Hotel „TELURIA”:
 
The main idea that highlights the establishment of the complex of hotels called TELURIA is its synergic function together with the health complex SILVANIA. Both of them are subordinating to the imperative of "human optimisation". Due to this functional complementarities, we can accomplish a row of privileges of the complex of hotels as it follows:
- it turns active certain complementary therapies that need specialised medical assistance and we point out a few:
    - relaxation activities (training etc.);
    - strategies of creating the bio-psychic harmony by ambient therapy, aero therapy, climate-therapy, heliotherapy, forest-therapy, therapy by flowers, called Bach therapy etc.
- spiritual activities, such as: art-therapy, BPL optimisation (bio-psycho-logic by bio-technologic therapies) etc.
· a section for common elements is accomplished within the complex of hotels: training by physic strategies: swimming, sauna, massage, baths with natural thermal water etc.
· a great offer of  „green/natural cooking”/„uncooked”, which means to eat fresh ecologic aliments, uncooked fresh vegetables, according to several original cooking recipes 
 
As far as the location is concerned, the hotel has the privilege of being situated exactly in the main point of the site, on the open plateau situated on the top of the site. The view is extremely beautiful: Apuseni, Parang, Poiana Rusca, Semenic, Godeanu, Retezat Mountains and the valley of the river Mures;
· the hotel is situated on the border of the accumulating lake and it makes possible certain internal functions for external usage: the terraces of the hotel, of the restaurant and of the confectionery offer an extraordinarily view towards the lake;
From one point of view, through its shape, the hotel is important for:
- it uses a part of the essential curbs, integrating them in the landscape;
- it mixes vertical volumes (where the residences are situated) with horizontal ones (where there are the restaurant and the pleasure section).
For creating the perfect frame for pleasure and leisure section, we shall build and arrange (inside the complex) indoor and open spaces, small lakes and gardens, for creating the harmony.
From another point of view, along with its internal opportunities (video-cinema rooms, game/playing rooms), we shall arrange places for sport activities: volleyball, basketball, tennis courts - connected with the treatment section, the summer theatre (outdoors), etc. 
All these functions help the hotel to subordinate - once more - the program mating idea of the entire complex: to create the harmony between the functions of the human body and its spirit. 

[1] We must point out that, in the final stage of the project, the beneficiary and the initiator should agree on the name of each architectural element, by symbolically using the names of the main ores from the area of Sacaramb. For instance, we have already agreed on using the name "TELURIA" (from the name  “telur”) for the leisure complex and  “SILVANIA” (from the element “silvanit”) for the health center.
